On 11-13 April 2018, education policy-makers, decision-makers and managers came together to discuss data governance, data utilization and sustainability of Education Management Information Systems. In an effort to maximize the capacity of EMIS in education data management, UNESCO and the Global Partnership for Education created a space for countries to share best practices, strategies for implementation, and results of national EMIS implementation. In this regard, Maldives, Lesotho, and Uzbekistan presented on their ongoing implementation of OpenEMIS and discussed challenges and opportunities in enhancing EMIS.
